Wal-Mart criticized for sick-leave policy

Wal-Mart Stores says its policy of giving "demerits" to employees who are sick and requiring workers to pay for their first day of sick leave with a personal or vacation day is flexible enough for workers, while allowing the company to run its business. The company has been criticized by a workers' advocacy group that says the policy forces sick employees to go to work.
