Feds pledge backing for mHealth apps

Mobile health applications won a ringing endorsement from federal officials, who said the administration remains fully committed to expanded funding as a method of improving health care delivery and monitoring patient data. Speaking at the mHealth Summit, an HHS official outlined plans for launching its website in December that would contain a trove of medical data that developers could exploit to build applications.
