Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., told executives at an industry conference that the Troubled Asset Relief Program was the right move in 2008. "I will go to my grave believing we did the right thing," Mr. Dodd said. TARP was "exactly what we should have done at that moment and if we hadn't done it, we'd be looking at a very different country." He also discussed the progress being made on the regulatory overhaul of the financial industry, the bankruptcy code, foreclosure issues and other challenges.
