API: Delay of U.S. ruling on Keystone XL could boost energy imports

The oil and natural gas industry expressed concern about plans to study a new route for TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline, which could further delay a final ruling on the project. The delay would stifle job-generation opportunities and raise the country's dependence on energy imports, said Cindy Schild, the American Petroleum Institute's refining manager. "Each delay has bred nothing but more delay," she said.
