Brands are told that Google+ contests aren't kosher

The terms of service for brands using Google+ suggest that marketers won't be allowed to hold contests or promotions on their brand pages, but will instead have to steer visitors to external sites. "It's unclear as to why Google wants to prevent brands from using promotions and competitions directly on Google+ to interact with users, and even more unclear as to how they'll police such a policy," Darren McCarra writes.
