Commodities-trading volumes remain depressed

Trading volumes on several commodity markets remain down in the week-plus since MF Global Holdings' bankruptcy filing. "In situations like this, particularly from forces outside of market fundamentals, large traders will cut their trading by as much as half and small traders will gravitate to the sidelines," said John Kleist, a commodities broker and analyst with eBotTrading.com.
