R.I. town council extends moratorium on wind turbines

The Town Council of Middletown, R.I., approved a six-month extension of the town's moratorium on wind projects, which was slated to expire on Dec. 7. However, Councilor Barbara VonVillas offered a motion to exempt wind turbines measuring less than 50 feet high from the moratorium. The council is slated to meet again on Nov. 21 to consider the motion.
