Google+ was slow to launch brand pages and lacks Facebook's enormous reach, but that also means it doesn't yet have Facebook's distracting clutter, Caleb Garling writes. On top of that, Google+ has built-in, streamlined access to Google's suite of Web applications, and is fully integrated with the company's best-in-class search engine. "Google is certainly trailing the pack with Monday's announcement, but in other respects, it's well ahead," Garling writes.
