Demand for legal work failed to take off in the third quarter, and it declined in certain areas, according to a report by Peer Monitor, part of Thomson Reuters' Hildebrandt Institute. "The law firm market continues to struggle. ... Productivity continues to decline as capacity exceeds demand," the report found. Some clients are pushing firms to offer discounts for their services.
