Boy with cerebral palsy improves after cord blood treatment

A boy from Maryland's Eastern Shore who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy is doing better following a transfusion of his own stored umbilical cord blood. He can walk and climb a short set of stairs. Doctors said there is a need to raise more awareness about the potential benefits of storing cord blood.
