JV chosen for $1.5B P3 Goethals Bridge replacement

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has sealed a public-private partnership deal with NYNJ Link Partnership for the construction of the $1.5 billion Goethals Bridge replacement project. The NYNJ Link Partnership will be led by Kiewit Infrastructure, Weeks Marine and Massman Construction and also includes Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets and Kiewit Development. The new span will have six traffic lanes, a pedestrian and bike path, and an area for the possible addition of public transit. The bridge is slated for completion by 2016.
