Proposal links school board members' pay to school scores

Former St. John the Baptist Parish (La.) School Board member John Crose has proposed that elected school board members have their monthly pay withheld if their districts' schools are failing. Crose, who is seeking a sponsor for the idea in the state legislature, believes school board members should be held to the same high academic performance standards as teachers and children.
