Low potassium intake linked to high blood pressure

Low potassium intake may pose as much of a risk for high blood pressure as high sodium consumption, particularly for blacks. Research suggests that the link between high blood pressure and low potassium was strong even when age, race, and other cardiovascular risk factors were taken into account.
