Obama faces steep bill for infrastructure improvements, group says

After he takes office, President-elect Barack Obama must address infrastructure issues that will cost about $1.6 trillion, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers. "In 2005 we prepared an institution report and gave the overall grade for US infrastructure as D," said ASCE president David Mongan. The organization will issue a new report on infrastructure in the U.S. in March, but expects to see little improvement.
