Report: Adding wind, solar power to grid could increase blackouts

Adding power from wind and the sun to the nation's electrical grid could boost the number of blackouts, according to a report by the North American Electric Reliability Corp. The report also found adding wind and solar power could make the nation's electrical grid less reliable. Meanwhile, the group said carbon reductions rules could force some coal plants to be shut down.
