Schmidt doesn't want to be White House technology chief

Google CEO Eric Schmidt, a major backer of President-elect Barack Obama and a member of his transition economic advisory board, has taken himself out of the running to be the new administration's technology czar. "I love working at Google and I'm very happy to stay at Google, so the answer is no," Schmidt said during an appearance on Jim Cramer's CNBC talk show.
