CEOs find common cause at Google, Verizon Wireless

An unlikely friendship has sprung up between Google CEO Eric Schmidt and his Verizon Wireless counterpart, Lowell McAdam, according to this report, which notes how the companies have worked together in Verizon Wireless' launch of two Android-powered phones. According to McAdam, one key moment came when Verizon Wireless agreed to relax some controls over its network. "We thought: 'Why don't we try to do something like Android on steroids?'"
