What to do when you get negative feedback

Control your emotions if you get negative feedback from the boss and instead ask for specific examples of poor performance, career experts say. Thank the boss for the feedback and ask to meet later to discuss your plan to improve. If you believe you're not at fault and the relationship with the boss is broken, you might have to ask for a transfer, quit or file a grievance.
