Expert: Proper clock distribution a challenge in medical imaging

The need to improve health care comes with the need for higher resolution in medical imaging, which involves proper clock distribution to ensure accurate signal acquisition and data transfer, technologist Richard Zarr writes in this article. For PET and dual-modality systems, there is a need to strictly control clocking to limit distortion and noise and to optimize system function, Zarr said.
