Hermes reports surge in quarterly sales, lifts forecast

Hermes International reported a 31% increase in third-quarter sales and boosted its revenue forecast for 2010. The company also said family shareholders are united, serene and vigilant about LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which quietly built up its stake in Hermes. The situation prompted a French regulator to launch a probe into LVMH's move.
