Students at a Louisiana junior high school helped to lead a recent training seminar on classroom technology via videoconference for teachers at a neighboring school. Students and teachers discussed how webcams can be used in the classroom. "The child is steering the conversation ... and the skills they pick up are for life, and they begin to feel comfortable in that online environment [at an early age]," the district's instructional-technology curriculum specialist said. "That's what we're trying to foster here."
