Bid to scrap EPA's cross-state air rule is rejected by Senate

The Senate on Thursday rejected a resolution by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., to scuttle the Environmental Protection Agency's Cross-State Air Pollution Rule. Six Republicans, including Sens. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., Scott Brown, R-Mass., and Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, joined Democrats in rejecting the bill.
