Canada is not losing hope on Keystone XL's final approval

Canada is disappointed but remains "hopeful" that TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline will secure U.S. approval, said Andrew MacDougall, a spokesman for Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. This comes after the State Department's decision to study changing the pipeline's route, a move that would further delay a final ruling for the project. Canada has repeatedly insisted that the project would generate "thousands of jobs and billions in economic growth" for both countries, MacDougall said.
