Diabetes has a more negative effect on women, poll shows

Fifty percent of women with type 2 diabetes who were surveyed reported feeling overwhelmed when it comes to living with the disease, compared with 31% of men, according to a survey by Rite Aid and WebMD. Researchers also found that only 36% of women said they exercise for 30 minutes daily and only 45% reported avoiding sweets, compared with 47% and 56% of men. Women also were open to receiving tools to help manage diabetes.
