Fonterra launches programs focused on sustainability, CSR

Fonterra is working to improve its commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility by enhancing its Milk in Schools program and supporting clean-up efforts along New Zealand's fresh waterways. The company will have farmers deliver milk to schools participating in the program, with children visiting farms to plant vegetation along waterways and help control farm runoff. Both initiatives will protect the future of the dairy industry and allow the company to invest in future consumers, Fonterra CEO Theo Spierings said.
