Coconut water companies shouldn't have much to fear concerning the UN Food and Agricultural Organization's recent warning of a potential coconut shortage. The low cost of coconuts offsets distribution costs, providing the brands plenty of "wriggle room," according to Mintel analyst Jonny Forsyth. Product introductions were up 540% in May 2013 compared to the 2008 to 2012 period, Mintel found.
