Obama appoints new adviser on energy, climate change

President Barack Obama has chosen Dan Utech as his top adviser on energy and climate change, the White House announced on Nov. 8. Utech's job is to help Obama carry out action plans on climate change mitigation, which include implementing policies on curbing power plant emissions and deciding on major energy projects such as the Keystone XL proposed pipeline extension.
