New technology tracks cell-phone users while they shop

Infosys Technologies has launched an application that helps retailers gain information about the shopping habits of consumers who talk on their cell phones while browsing the aisles. The company's ShoppingTrip360 can create a 360-degree view of real-time, in-store consumer activity when shoppers download the application to their phones. Retailers can offer coupons and special promotions to people who download the application.
