Survey: Schools inconsistent about food allergy action plans

A survey of nurses in elementary and middle schools in South Carolina found that 56% of schools did not have action plans for students with food allergies and 42% of schools in the same district had fewer than half of food allergic students on action plans. One researcher said primary care providers should give action plans to parents and school nurses.
