HRW: Lebanon failing to protect foreign maids

Lebanese authorities need to do more to protect the 200,000 foreigners working as domestic help in Lebanon, Human Rights Watch says. Eight foreign maids have died in Lebanon during the past month, six of whom fell or jumped from high places. Domestic workers are not covered under employment laws, making them easy prey for abuse.
