Kentucky district files lawsuit over special-education order

Kentucky's Fayette County school system has filed suit to overturn a judgment by state education officials ordering the district to take corrective steps and provide compensatory services to some students who have special needs. In the administrative complaint that prompted the legal battle, an advocacy group alleged that the district had systematically failed to provide appropriate services for certain students.
