Parent advocacy group compiles priorities for special education

A group of parent advocates for students with special needs is working to improve special education in one Massachusetts district by compiling a list of top education priorities to present to district officials. Karen Burtnett, a member of the Melrose Special Education Parent Advisory Council, offered praise for the district's policies on inclusion, which she said research has shown to be beneficial to students of all abilities.
