Red River Valley gets new flood-forecasting technology

Cutting-edge mapping technology used to fight record floods in Fargo, N.D., last spring is to be rolled out across the Red River Valley. The system -- accurate to within inches -- will be used to power an online calculator that will help local property owners predict how many sandbags they'll need to defend themselves against the rising waters.
