Regulator approves Danks acquisition by Woolworths, Lowe's

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has approved a takeover offer from Woolworths and Lowe's Cos. for Danks Holdings, but the retailers must jump through certain hoops. Woolworths and Lowe's agreed to deal with some competition issues, such as concerns about discrimination against some of Danks' wholesale customers who would become retail rivals.
