Uruguay teachers launch successful family-literacy project

Two Uruguay teachers have developed a programme to help boost learning among the country's poorest students by focusing on literacy for the entire family. Teachers are trained to implement the Cuenta Quien Cuenta programme, which offers education for the entire family. Educators say the project has been successful and involves about 90 teachers, 500 families and 1,600 students.
