Keep telecommuters from wreaking havoc

Many companies seek to keep employees happy by letting them work from home, but telecommuting can be a recipe for disaster, writes Wayne Turmel. Lazy workers won't suddenly become conscientious because they're working in their pajamas, Turmel notes, and absentee workers can confuse clients and cause chaos for staff who remain on-site. "Seismic changes in the way you work can really damage client relationships and even cause internal problems," he warns.
