Lesson becomes electric for students who are gifted

A fourth-grade teacher in Alabama provided a hands-on project to enhance basic lessons in electric circuits for her students who are gifted. The students drew blueprints, adhered to a budget and built a battery-powered "Electricity City" out of cardboard. "The goal is to reinforce their studies in electricity but put it into use in real life," teacher Kimberly VanHooser said.
