Mass. official seeks to advance wind-power legislation

With the clock running down on the Massachusetts legislative session, lawmakers appear unlikely to a vote on a bill that would make it easier to confirm sites for wind facilities. Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Murray called for lawmakers to act swiftly on the legislation, which he said would boost the state's economy. "The wind-siting bill is something we would like to see moved ... because we think it provides job opportunities as well as opportunities for Massachusetts to continue to lead in clean energy and renewables," he said.
