Kan. board members consider definition of college- and career-ready

While education leaders are focused on ensuring that students graduate from high school "college- and career-ready," officials in Kansas say the term has yet to be formally defined. Now, the state's Board of Education is considering a standard definition to guide educational decision-making that will be voted on next month. Board members on Tuesday discussed potential definitions that could include ensuring students are ready for college without remediation and are ready for the workforce with industry certifications.
