YouTube will reward top channels with new funding

YouTube, for its second round of content investments, will invest $1 million to $5 million in each of the channels in the top 30% to 40% of its initial partner program. "We looked at viewership they've been able to achieve, the cost of the content, and from that we are able to determine the channels that are delivering the best return on our investment," said Jamie Byrne, global head of content strategy.
