Arabian Gulf nations still eager for U.S. hardware

Weapons deals between the U.S and Gulf Cooperation Council nations are still flowing, despite disagreements about U.S. talks with Iran and earlier discussions of a U.S. strike on Syria. "I haven't seen any indication that foreign policy decisions are leading to a down spiral in U.S. overseas sales," said Andrew Shapiro, a former senior State Department official who headed the bureau responsible for foreign military sales. "If anything, the last few years have seen significant increases in sales."
