Cleveland Clinic lab leverages BIM for energy efficiency

The Cleveland Clinic's Tomsich Pathology Laboratories for the Robert J. Tomsich Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Institute is a showcase project for the U.S. Department of Energy's Better Buildings Challenge. The design team focused on the concept of "Patients First" and made the building more energy efficient, thus "free[ing] up precious resources to support patient care." Using BIM helped designers and contractors collaborate, avoid unnecessary spending and labor, and prevent downtime.
