Major banks reportedly review employees' chat-room use

Big banks, including JPMorgan Chase, Credit Suisse Group and Barclays, are considering banning employees from using chat rooms amid regulatory scrutiny of the venues, sources said. Other major banks are also reviewing employees' use of chat rooms. The sites give users a way to easily exchange market information, but they have become part of regulators' investigations into whether traders and other financial industry professionals colluded to manipulate prices.
