MRSA infection rates are down at Veterans Affairs centers

Following the introduction of a methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus prevention program in 2007, the number of MRSA-related infections dropped 62% in intensive care units and 45% in other units at Veterans Affairs facilities, according to a study that used data from 2007 to 2012. The findings appear in the American Journal of Infection Control.
