Obama calls for more infrastructure spending

President Barack Obama is urging Congress to boost spending on U.S. infrastructure to help spur economy. Obama has proposed initiatives including a $50 billion program called "Fix It First" for the urgent fixes of deteriorating infrastructure. Increased spending on infrastructure "creates jobs, it puts people to work," Obama said. And these are "not partisan issues, they are American issues."
