Ravitch: Reform efforts are not supported by test scores

The recent National Assessment of Educational Progress test results should not be used to demonstrate the effectiveness of education-reform efforts, such as testing and closing schools, education historian Diane Ravitch writes in this blog post. Instead, she writes, the opposite is true, with many states that have been leaders in education reform faring poorly on the exams.
