Survey: 80% with diabetes look for new ways to manage their condition

Eighty percent of diabetes patients or people who have such a patient in their household look for new ways to manage the disease, 80% say their doctor is somewhat or very or involved in the management, and half said their doctor is their primary source for information regarding their condition. The AccentHealth survey of more than 500 people with diabetes or who have a family history of diabetes said regular doctor visits, following a strict fitness routine and eating a proper diet are the most important elements in managing and preventing the condition.
