Team uses BIM in design of Sydney expo center

Eighteen teams had just 48 hours to design a new Sydney Convention and Exhibition Center as part of the Build Sydney Live competition. Using Building Information Modeling technology, a team with people from BIM Academy, AECOM, David Langsdon, Ryder Architecture, dRofus, KyKloud, Northumbria University and Colour UDL, designed the winning entry. "We were able to work intensively across multiple time zones with our colleagues ... and produce a wealth of information about the design, construction and operation," said Peter Barker, managing director at BIM and group team leader.
