USPSTF draft: Vitamin E has no preventive benefit against CVD, cancer

Draft updated recommendations from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force said there is no clear benefit to taking supplemental vitamin E to prevent cardiovascular disease or cancer. The draft recommendations, which seek to update 2003 guidance, noted that there remains a lack of evidence for or against supplement use in general as a method of primary prevention of cardiovascular disease or cancer.
