Water recycling gains traction among drillers

The number of companies that use water-recycling technologies has more than doubled in the past year as drillers find ways to conserve water in their hydraulic fracturing operations, industry sources said. "This was a dramatic change to the practices that the industry used for many, many years," said Water Rescue Services' co-founder and Chief Financial Officer Paul Schlosberg, whose company provides recycling services for Fasken Oil and Ranch in West Texas. Many other companies have also developed water-recycling technologies that are being used in drilling operations today.
